Jun 30th 2024 - Weapon Skills Done


Alright, haven't updated this game in a few months. Although, I have been working on the chapter 2 maps. I've spent most of my time writing, trying to generate some revenue among other things.

I have decided to change the price of the game to it's final launch price.

Regardless, all of the weapons skills for the game are done. Facet Final has 10 unique weapons each with 5 skills unique to that weapon, which are unlocked through a proficiency system. The more you use a weapon, the stronger it becomes. Additionally, these proficiency levels will contribute points to another progression system, which I will announce when it is nearly finished.

Many of the skills are strong, and likely poorly balanced, but they are working in every sense. Cooldowns, unlocks, damage modifiers, and it's all integrated into affixes; so I can have affixes targeting specific skills if I wish. Such as adding additional projectiles, or making the skill target a larger range. The skills themselves are also easy to modify and change for rapid prototyping.

The next part of development will be getting status effects to work, display a visual effect, trigger from enemy attacks, and queue an icon. After that, I think I will work on spells. Which is about half of the work that skills required, but with alot more art.
